Trainings & Workshops

CHPS has conducted the following trainings:

  1. training-3.jpgTraining on how to conduct Focus Group Discussions imparted to data collectors in Abbotabad for a UNICEF study titled “Beliefs and Behaviours Related to Mothers’ Health and Child- Care in Earthquake Affected Districts of NWFP Province, Pakistan”
  2. Designed and conducted the Rights Based Approach (RBA) to Reproductive Health in March 2006 at CHPS, Lahore.
  3. training-4.jpgDesigned and Conducted the Reproductive Health and Gender, Adolescent Health, GBSV and Safe mother hood training course for different cadres of the Ministry of Health at Mansehra, Balakot, Battagram, NWFP and Bagh and Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir for the World Health Organization (WHO), Emergency Cell, Islamabad 2006.
  4.  Arranged four (4) orientation seminars at Centre for Health Population Studies (CHPS) for Leadership Development Mechanism and CHPS, Lahore in 2005.
  5. training-2.jpgTraining of trainers at National level for Family Planning Association of Pakistan (FPAP) - 24 Managers, Doctors and counselors from the entire region. In March 2004 at Lahore
  6. National Trainers of FPAP, supported by CHPS, trained service providers of FPAP from each of their region i.e. LHWs, LHVs, Hospital Assistants. In March-April 2004. A total of 96 Regional Trainers trained.
  7. National Trainers of FPAP, supported by CHPS, trained the FPAP peer educators (youth)/ outreach workers and male and female youth, teachers, shopkeepers, TBAs, Community elders, male motivators, volunteers and college students etc. in May- June 2004. 384 community trainers trained.
  8. training-1.jpgNational Trainers of FPAP, supported by CHPS conducted community orientation sessions of mothers, fathers, community elders and area counselors in May- June 2004.
  9. Arranged Research Skills Development Workshop at CHPS, Lahore in 2004.
  10. Conducted a 3-day course on National Population Policy and Implementation from 3-5th September 2002 for the Sustainable Policy Development Institute (SDPI), Islamabad. 2002.
  11. training-5.jpgConducted the Traditional Birth Attendants training at Sahiwal, Punjab in 2001.
  12. Conducted a 2-day workshop on “Human Resource Management”, for the Anatomy Department, Fatima Jinnah Medical College, (FJMC), Lahore in 2001.
  13. Conducted “Female Human Resource Requirements in the paramedical sector for Lahore city” in Holiday Inn, hotel, Lahore 2000, in collaboration with JPC for women and GTZ, Lahore 2000.
